The Alpen Resort is a modern first-class hotel with large and quiet rooms; each room provides a view of the Alps, several also directly at the Matterhorn. All rooms have access to either a garden terrace or a balcony and come with free Wi-Fi. Zermatt is located at the foot of the world-famous Matterhorn. In 1931 the municipality decided to banish the individual private transport in the streets of Zermatt. Today only quiet electric vehicles are allowed to drive in Zermatt and also because of them, Zermatt has clean and dry air.
