The Nemzeti Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the town center, close to historical places of interest and the business district. This beautiful hotel was renovated in 2012 and the traditional architecture of the exterior contrasts with the audacious interior design: as soon as visitors enter the lobby they are greeted by elegant wrought iron balustrades and a spectacular staircase. The decoration is a mixture of art nouveau, the eclectic movement, also known as ‘Rococo Baroque’, and contemporary touches. At the beginning of the 20th Century, the Nemzeti Hotel was already a cultural hotspot in Budapest, and today the suites are named, among others, after respected actors who performed at the National Theatre which used to stand nearby.
