After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel to leave for the Cinque Terre, a territory in which sea and land form a unique and evocative area: 18 kilometers of rocky coastline abounding with abundant bays, beaches and deep sea, surrounded by mountains running parallel to the coast. Here you will find terraces cultivated with vineyards and olives, kept under control by old dry stone walls and a naturalistic heritage of great variety. Paths and mule tracks look onto breathtaking views. Five villages, Riomaggiore, Manarola, Coniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso face the sea. An environment in which centuries-old work of generations has transformed an inaccessible territory into a landscape of extraordinary beauty. A Protected Marine Area and a National Park which protect the absolute uniqueness, the “Cinque Terre” has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1997. You will meet your local guide in La Spezia after a 2 hour drive (approx.) and will proceed for another 20 minutes in order to reach Manarola. There will be a guided tour of 30 minutes followed by free time before embarking the boat to Vernazza, one of the five charming villages. Next is a guided visit followed by some free time before embarking again to Monterosso where, after a brief walking tour, you will be given some free time to enjoy the local restaurants or cafés. Your coach will pick you up in Monterosso and will drive you back to Florence.
