Taormina

The town is known for its wonderful scenery as well as its position as one of Sicily’s nicest resort towns. Here you will get fantastic views of the sea and of nearby Mt. Etna, as well as a quaint medieval-village atmosphere. Meet your local guide and visit the Teatro Greco, the most impressive monument of the city. The theater was originally built by the Romans in the 3rd century, and it has been used to host everything from musicals to gladiator games. Also visit San Nicolo di Bari, the 13th century Duomo, and the Public Gardens, home to some 200 different plants and a lovely pagoda.
