The charming little town of Rapperswil offers unique attractions for visitors – the Rose Gardens, the Castle, the deer park on the Lindenhof and the picturesque Old Town. After a guided orientation tour and some time at leisure in Rapperswil, enjoy a boat ride on the Lake of Zurich (weather permitting; unescorted). There is a restaurant on board for your convenience. On a day-trip, travel from Zurich by comfortable coach through the scenic Swiss Alps via Albis Pass and along the shores of the Lake Lucerne. Stop first in the charming town of Lucerne enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful city and its main sites such as the Lion Monument, Chapel Bridge, Town Hall and the new Concert and Congress Hall. Continue on from Lucerne to Alpnachstad via the Zentralbahn Railway. After that it’s up, up and away! There you ascend the Pilatus via the world’s steepest cogwheel railway. Once at altitude 2132 meters, you will be amazed by the panoramic views of the Alps! Then take the aerial and panorama gondola cableways down to Kriens, where a five-minute walk takes you to your coach for the journey back to Zurich.
