Vienna

Savor Vienna’s Baroque elegance on a guided city tour that includes the world famous Opera House, the Ringstrasse, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and more. The tour is followed by free time in the city center to shop for souvenirs or sample some of Vienna’s famous pastries. The following day, enjoy an included tour to the Imperial Schonbrunn Palace, where there are ceiling frescoes celebrating the Habsburgs and 18th century furnishings. The gardens are huge and beautiful. There is a spectacular iron and glass palm house, a maze and labyrinth, and a viewing terrace. Since the end of the monarchy the Viennese people have flocked to these gardens for recreation. The palace is on UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites. You will also enjoy a special visit to a Heurigen (wine tavern). Heuriger means “this year’s wine”, and the Heurigen began as a way for winemakers to offer tastings of their new wine with a few nibbles, and hopefully sell a few bottles.
