Itinerary Details

Day 1 – Arrive Milan

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. This evening, join your fellow travelers for our first taste of Milanese cuisine during a welcome dinner. Benvenuto a Milano!

Note: If you wish to spend more time in Milan, ask your Personal Vacation Manager about the optional hotel extension—which will add one night to your Milan hotel stay.

Day 2 – Milan

After breakfast, we’ll set off on a walking tour of Milan, the vibrant capital of northern Italy’s Lombardy region. We’ll glimpse Milan’s rich history at Castello Sforzesco, a 15th-century castle featuring battlements, courtyards, landscaped grounds and Renaissance treasures, including an unfinished sculpture by Michelangelo. We’ll take in the Gothic splendor of Duomo di Milano, the third-largest cathedral in the world. From there, we pass through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world’s oldest shopping arcades and a beloved Milanese gathering place. You’ll then enjoy free time for lunch and independent exploration.

In the afternoon, we visit Santa Maria delle Grazie to view Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper, one of the most extraordinary masterpieces in Italian art history. Housed in the monastery’s refectory and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fresco remains a powerful symbol of Renaissance genius. Conclude the day with dinner in Milan’s picturesque canal district.

Day 3 – Milan - Lake Como - Milan

Today we’ll journey north of Milan to witness the scenic splendor of Lake Como, an enchanting glacial lake set against the backdrop of the Italian Alps. Our first stop will be at the town of Bellagio, one of the most glamorous and romantic destinations in Lombardy and Italy. In fact, the well-known “Pearl of Lake Como” is home to a colorful historic center, beautiful gardens, charming neighborhoods and much more.

After the visit, board your private motorboat to see snow-peaked mountains and luxury lakeside villas from the water as you reach the town of Como. After a brief walking tour, we will sit down for lunch at a local restaurant. At the end of the day, we will transfer back to Milan for an evening at leisure.

Day 4 – Milan to Ravenna

Today you will be transferred from Milan to Ravenna with en route visits in the Emilia-Romagna region, the birthplace of some of the most iconic products of Italian cuisine. We’ll discover one of them—Parmigiano-Reggiano—at a caseificio (cheese factory). Learn how cheese masters use handmade techniques largely unchanged since the Middle Ages, followed by a tasting of this world-renowned cheese after our tour.

Then, we’ll visit an acetaia, a traditional producer of Modena’s renowned balsamic vinegar, Aceto Balsamico di Modena. We’ll learn about the meticulous production process before enjoying a tasting of this “liquid gold.” Other regional favorites are sure to be on the menu while we enjoy lunch at a restaurant, followed by a brief walking tour of the town.

Upon arrival in Ravenna later this afternoon, we’ll check in to our hotel and then regroup for a farewell dinner before your embarkation tomorrow.

Day 5 – Ravenna Embarkation

Since you can’t leave Ravenna without experiencing some of the most exquisite mosaics in the world, we’ll set off on a walking tour of this one‑time stronghold of the Byzantine Empire. The cobbled streets of Ravenna are packed with a treasure trove of early Christian and Byzantine art—and include a remarkable eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During our visit, you’ll explore two of the city’s most celebrated masterpieces: the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, whose 1,500‑year‑old mosaics in marble and glass are considered among the finest in existence. Their brilliant scenes will take your breath away—and make you understand what makes Ravenna so special.

After our tour, we’ll head to Ravenna’s port, where you’ll meet your ship, the Celebrity Constellation, and begin your 27‑night cruise to Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Spain and Morocco, disembarking in Tampa.

Day 6-31 – Cruising onboard the Celebrity Constellation

Ports of call include Zadar, Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; Amalfi Coast, Portofino, Florence and Rome, Italy; Alicante and Malaga, Spain and Casablanca, Morocco.

Day 9 – Dubrovnik Shore Excursion

After your onboard breakfast, set off with a local guide for a walking tour of Dubrovnik, the exquisite walled city jutting out into the Adriatic. Discover the wonders that lie inside 20-foot-thick ramparts surrounding Dubrovnik’s medieval Old Town—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and see why so many scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed here.

Then, journey farther down the coast to visit a multi-generational family farm that is preserving traditional Croatian culture in the Konavle Valley. You’ll experience everyday life and authentic Croatian hospitality while enjoying a homecooked meal featuring farm-fresh produce along with local wine and traditional music in this bucolic setting before returning to the ship.

Day 31 – Tampa Disembarkation

Enjoy breakfast onboard, then disembark the Celebrity Constellation in Tampa and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

For meals not included in your land programs, all hotels chosen include a restaurant on property where you may relax and enjoy a meal. In addition, your guide is available to make suggestions on nearby dining, shopping or sightseeing.

More Information

What to Know Before You Go

Physical Activity

The land portion of the trip should be considered active and includes a considerable amount of walking.

Enrichment Journeys will do everything in our power to ensure comfort through our third-party providers, including air-conditioned buses and comfortable accommodations where applicable. However, some areas cannot be accessed by coach, so our drivers will get you as close to sites as is legally allowed. Sensible, rubber-soled walking shoes are strongly recommended. Historical sites often do not have elevators, escalators, or ramps due to the age of the building/structure. Steps can be steep and uneven. Based on crowds and traffic, order of visits may be changed. You may have to walk a moderate distance to transfer to coach stations and airport terminals. Time spent on the road and traveling can be long, so you will need to be prepared for stretches of down time in between destinations.

Wheelchair access at many sites is limited. A fold-up wheelchair may be able to be stored on the bus but requires prior arrangements. Guests must be able to transfer from their chair to the transportation. Guides/drivers are not allowed to lift or push wheelchairs, so guests requiring physical assistance must travel with a companion who can assist. Motorized wheelchairs and scooters cannot be accommodated on this group program.

Airfare

Included airfare is from select airports only. To inquire about a different airport, please contact your Personal Vacation Manager.

Enrichment Journeys is committed to providing remarkable experiences at extraordinary value. As a result, airlines and routes are selected to maximize that value and may involve multiple stops and extended layovers versus non-stop or direct flights. Passengers wishing to utilize specific carriers, direct/non-stop flights, Business Class upgrades, or to extend their time in any of our beginning or ending destination cities may do so by contacting Enrichment Journeys and inquiring about the Custom Airfare Program. There is a $100 per person charge for this service, however this charge will be applied toward any flights or upgrades you choose to purchase. The $100 charge must be paid prior to receiving a custom air quote.

Passport and Visa Requirements

To travel internationally, you must have a passport in good condition, and it must be valid for at least 6 months after the last day of your trip. Visa requirements change frequently and for various reasons. As a result, our Personal Vacation Managers are not always able to provide visa information. The best way to obtain up-to-date information regarding visa requirements is to visit the official US government website for Americans traveling abroad, Travel.State.Gov (Canadian citizens should visit https://travel.gc.ca/, for all other countries please visit your government website or local embassy), which details specific information on the countries you would like to visit, including visa requirements. You may also use a third-party visa service, such as Expedited Travel. These services require an additional service fee but make the process of applying for a visa much simpler.

Customizing Your Journey

To extend a hotel stay at the beginning or end of your Journey, please speak to a Personal Vacation Manager for assistance in making those arrangements.

If you are interested in customizing your Journey, pairing it with a different cruise, or arranging a private tour for your party, you may be interested in our Private Journeys program. You can learn more about this program here, or speak to a Personal Vacation Manager for more information.
